I'm... running? me?

This is the first week that I am following the "Couch to 5K" running plan! If you would've asked me last year, last month, or even last week if I'd like to go for a jog, I probably would've laughed at you. But, I'm doing it! I found this awesome podcast that goes right along with the running program. It plays really pumped up music and tells you when to run, and when to walk. Really helpful so that you're not constantly looking at a watch. Last night was the second night of the first week. It was a lot harder for me to get through, but I did it! Izzie comes with me and she keeps up really well! This is the first time I've ever pursued running, if you have any tips or tricks to share, I'd love to hear them!

This week I finished another pair of mitts for a swap package:

After a full journey around the country, I received one of my travelling scarves back!!
Isn't it awesome?!? I just how it turned out! Couldn't be happier! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

  1. You know what I absolutely thing is adorable about you? You're not afraid to say compliment your work! So many people are so bashful when they should be proud. YES, the scarf is awesome! :)

And Ummm...girlfriend, i'm so PROUD of you with the running. Let's do a run date! It'll kill 3 birds with one stone. Kelly can come if she promises not to run circles around us!

Oh wait...what's a podcast? Youre so advanced!

  2. What a beautiful scarf!!!

Oh, I've done that plan before and it works! Do I jog now? No. But the fact is I did that plan and was able to participate in two events after that - I did 10 miles in this 24 hr. marathon event and I did a 5 mile race and got 3rd place for my age category (trophy and all!). Then I quit when it got cold. *shameful* You can do it!

Check out my posts on my experiences:

  3. The travelling scarf is gorgeous! Colours and stitches are balanced and look very beautiful together. Lucky girl!

  4. That scarf looks wonderful!!!

Good luck with the couch to 5k program. I heard good stuff about. :)
