Current Projects

I have now officially finished the baby blanket. I tried to embroider around the wording to make it stand out more, but it just wasn't working for me. I do think the ribbon is a nice touch though.

I also got my 2 traveling scarf starters in the mail this week - I'm very excited to see how they look when I get them back. One is a lengthwise crochet only and the other will be blocked with crochet & knit squares:

Most people learn to crochet doing granny squares, I am only dabbling in them now. As I mentioned before I am also involved in a block exchange. The group I got placed in is for neutral colors (tan, beige, cream, browns etc). I went to Michael's today after work to check out their newly expanded yarn department and was disappointed that I couldn't find anything in that color scheme! (There are only 5 brands of approved wool-ease yarns to chose from). So of course, I bought more yarn for another new project! duh! =-D They have this new Caron natural line which I really like - they're all so soft! This is what I made tonight:

I am also about 7 or 8 rows into a red caplet sweater - apparently I cannot just work on one thing at a time!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! I am so excited about having tomorrow off! Good night!

  1. I like the ribbon in the blanket, it looks so sweet now!
That granny is wonderful too. I'd like to be part of a traveling-something but I guess I'm too lazy to be responsible with someone else's projects ;-)
